We consider our volunteer coaches to be one of the most important parts in building and maintaining a fun and exciting league.
Coaches are expected to be helpful & understanding of the players needs and abilities.
They should strive to create a fun and positive environment while teaching, encouraging, and promoting good sportsmanship. Making sure your team wins is secondary to making sure they have fun.
Those willing to volunteer as a coach will receive half off of their children's registration fee. Please contact us at 412-820-0657 if you would like to become a volunteer coach.

Keep in mind that understanding the rules and fundamentals of PISA Youth Flag Football will take time depending on your child's level of experience.
Our more experienced players are taught to be a leader on and off the field and to help the younger players learn the ropes and excel at their positions.
Due to the vast age range PISA has decided to break the divisions into the following brackets:
Ages 6-7-8
Ages 9-10-11
Our ultimate goal is to see each and every player progress and develop game after game.
Talent Levels – Every player is different. Every player has specific strengths that can be used to win a game. Not every player can play quarterback, catch a football, or take a hand off and make moves that will take them to the end zone. However, that doesn't mean that a player will not be able to succeed in PISA Youth Flag Football. Remember that pulling a flag on defense is just as important as throwing, running, catching, or even scoring a touchdown. That doesn't mean that our coaches will not work with your child to develop other skills, but we want to emphasize that players of all skill levels will be able to play, have fun, and contribute to the team.
